Twenty-fi ve of the more than forty applicants fi nally embarked on the making of their fi rst fi lm in the frame of the Inforg workshop. We divided the participants into fi ve groups, each of which contained two directors, one producer, one director of photography, and one editor. The aim of the training was for each of the production groups \u2013 with the help of the studio\u2019s intellectual and technical apparatus \u2013 to make at least one short film or documentary over the course of ten weeks. The shooting preparations were accompanied by parallel programs in script-development, hands-on practice for directors, photographers, and editors, with continuous pitches, lectures, fi lm analysis, and individual consultations. We did not wish to dictate any \u201ccentral\u201d specifi cations. Our starting point was the young people\u2019s imaginations, and we formulated the methods of instruction based on their fi lm plans. We attempted to help them with all the million little choices (and often \u201cTHE\u201d choice) one has to make while writing, shooting, or editing a film. On December 20, 2007, we showed the fi nished products and evaluated them at the House of Film, where the course took place. The students \u2013 often placing their everyday lives in the background \u2013 summoned enormous amounts of energy to bring their projects into existence.<\/p>\n

The workshop\u2019s winners were N\u00f3ra Lapusnyik, Bal\u00e1zs Lengyel, and N\u00e1ndor Varj\u00fa, who each received 60,000 forints in prize money.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
