The Dike of transience

For three years we followed the life of the Kopaszi Dike waiting for demolition. The camera and the expired raw material edited within the camera, the scratches and the flashes breathe together with the people living by the dam and all nature surrounding it. The music of the film is an orchestra rehearsal in which a brass band attempts to play the Egmont Overture. The film is for a graduation exam in the workshop led by Vera Chytilová and Karel Vachek at FAMU in Prague and was made with the help of Martin Blazicek, Czech experimental film director.
