Beginning with the example of Flóra, who was able to leave the gypsy settlement, the lives of three other members of her family changed for the better. However, their new, suitable living conditions could only be brought about with the help of outside, non-institutional support. In this film viewers may become acquainted with the gypsy settlement as well as accepted and practiced male-female relations on Acacia Street.
