Tibor Malkáv isn’t on good terms with the living. Tibor Malkáv pretty much doesn’t have relationships. His only living relative is his dying mother. There’s no money for an operation she needs. Tibor Malkáv agrees to kill a total stranger to save his mother. Tibor Malkáv finishes off Ferenc Szirmai. He gets the money. It seems things are looking up. But the following day Tibor Malkáv receives a letter from Ferenc Szirmai. It turns out they had some sort of connection to each other. Tibor Malkáv is in trouble. He must find out who hired him and why if he wants to avoid the consequences of his action. Tibor Malkáv is a coroner. Tibor Malkáv begins to trace a dead man in order to discover unexpected things about himself.
