The Dévai Group has worked together since the second half of the 1980s, when the first Hungarian test- tube baby was conceived. In this film, doctors and biologists lead the viewers into a mysterious world, into the „primeval forest” of conception and the beginnings of pregnancy, where, as the head surgeon explains, treasures await infertile couples if they manage to get out alive. The Test Tube and the Fish introduces the most modern medical techniques for treating infertility and the incredible risk of these treatments, but it also shows those people who make the miracles possible: the Doctor, the Cellular-Biologist, and of course us, the patients.
