Adaptation of Rjunoszuke Akutagava’s short story: Handkerchief Ever since I’ve been working with fi lm, I’ve always been bothered by the extreme concreteness of the film picture. This aspect excites the imagination but does not allow it to take wing. The picture appearing in the photo-fi nish camera never existed in reality.
